Cloud Range Selected as 2025 SC Awards Finalist for Best IT Security-Related Training Program
Cloud Range, the industry’s leading cyber range solution, today announced it has been recognized as a 2025 SC Award finalist in the Excellence Award category for Best IT Security-Related Training Program. The SC Awards, now in its 28th year, recognizes the solutions, organizations, and individuals that have demonstrated outstanding achievement in advancing the security of information systems.
“We are honored to have Cloud Range included as a finalist in the SC Awards,” said Debbie Gordon, CEO of Cloud Range. "Our team remains focused on ensuring that security teams have the most advanced and realistic simulation-based training experience in the world that replicates actual ransomware, supply chain, and cloud vulnerability attacks. The platform's ability to provide measurable skills development across the entire security team—from SOC analysts to executive decision-makers—ensures organizations aren't just training for compliance, but building the muscle memory and incident response capabilities needed when real attacks occur."
Cloud Range provides a comprehensive cyber range-as-a-service solution that dramatically accelerates a SOC team’s readiness through immersive attack simulations. The platform features custom simulations facilitated by live Certified Attackmasters™. What sets Cloud Range apart is its Performance Portal™, which delivers quantifiable metrics tied to the NICE Framework and MITRE ATT&CK matrix, allowing security leaders to track improvements in detection, response, and remediation times across their entire security organization. This data-driven approach enables teams to identify and address skill gaps before they're exploited by attackers, while ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks specific to each client's industry.
The 2025 SC Awards entries were evaluated across 33 specialty categories by a distinguished panel of judges, including cybersecurity professionals, industry leaders, and members of the CyberRisk Alliance CISO community, representing sectors such as healthcare, financial services, education, and technology.
New this year, all finalists are invited to the SC Awards Reception, where the 2025 winners will be announced on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at RSAC ’25 in San Francisco. Finalists will receive priority access to two reserved spots at the reception. Finalists will also have the opportunity to record interviews with the CyberRisk TV production team onsite at RSAC’25. These interviews will highlight each finalists’ innovation, technology, or individual achievement, and will be published across SC Media channels to amplify SC Awards recognition.
“From the rise of generative AI attacks to breaches exploiting third-party access and non-human credentials, the past year has reminded us that cybersecurity needs to be about innovations that help enterprises pivot, adapt, and thrive in a threat landscape that changes by the hour,” said Tom Spring, Senior Editorial Director, SC Media.
“Being named an SC Awards finalist is a recognition not only of technical innovation, but of a shared commitment to making the digital world safer,” Spring said. “It’s inspiring to see how this year’s community of finalists—across identity, cloud, data protection, and beyond—is pushing forward together, united by purpose.”
This award further highlights Cloud Range's growing list of achievements, including its recognition on CRN's 2024 Stellar Startups list in the Security category and the launch of its first-of-its-kind Incident Commander Training program. Additionally, Cloud Range was ranked No. 44 on Inc. Magazine's list of the Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the Southeast Region and received top-tier Best-in-Class recognition in Datos Insights' comprehensive analysis of cyber range solutions. The company was also named a finalist for the 2024 SC Media Best IT Security-Related Training Program, demonstrating its continued innovation in simulation-based cybersecurity training.
Throughout the month, SC Media’s editorial team will feature in-depth coverage of each finalist on SC Media’s website at www.scworld.com/sc-awards, along with promoting finalists across SC Media’s social media channels on LinkedIn and Twitter.
